Her relationship with Brice, who is of average height, has drawn significant attention since the pair began dating in 2019. Despite a brief breakup, their relationship has flourished, especially with the arrival of their daughter.
One of the main points of interest for fans was whether Liz and Brice’s baby would inherit achondroplasia or be of average height. In May 2024, Liz announced that their baby would be of average height. This sparked curiosity about how a four-foot-tall mother would manage to raise an average-sized child. 7 Little Johnston star Liz recently opened up about the experience of giving birth to an average-sized child as someone diagnosed with dwarfism. She shared her joy in welcoming baby Leighton and highlighted her future plans with Brice and their daughter. During a telephonic interview with Today, Liz expressed that she would’ve been happy whether the baby was little or tall.
She revealed that during an ultrasound, the medical providers confirmed that her baby would be tall. “We finally got a good view of her fingers and how she was able to ball up in a fetal position — because LP babies cannot do that,” Liz explained.
Recalling her delivery experience, Liz mentioned that Brice was nervous about her getting a C-section. However, as a nurse, Liz wasn’t too rattled. “The nerves literally struck me when I was laying on the table,” she recalled her time in the hospital room. “I said a little prayer and then they gassed me. And it literally felt like 30 seconds, and I was back up, and I had my daughter right before me.”
The 7 Little Johnstons star described the moment as “super emotional.” Liz added that her delivery was luckily done by the same OB-GYN doctor who had delivered her when her mom was pregnant with her.

Fur ther into the interview, Liz shared her experience as a mother of an average-sized baby. She noted that strangers are often curious to see “What kind of baby does a 4-foot-tall mom have?.” Some have even tried to sneak pictures and get close to their baby. However, 7 Little Johnstons star Liz doesn’t hesitate to protect her child, firmly telling them, “No.”
Looking to her future, Liz mentioned that she’s “working her butts off,” to save enough money to buy land or build a house by the end of the year. Currently living with her parents, Liz explained that she wants to stay close to her family because she loves and adores them.
