General Hospital Friday, October 4 Recap: Sonny’s Confession Plan, Ava & Portia’s Secret Alliance

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, October 4, reveals that Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) had to be picked up from school early for getting into a fight with a boy named Garth.

Since Garth called Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) a drunk and kept going on about his time in rehab, Violet hit him.

Garth retaliated by pouring grape juice all over Violet, so Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) took her upstairs to change.

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) thanked Violet for telling them the truth, but he reminded her that actions can have consequences.

Brook Lynn was alarmed over a phone call that said the principal needed to see Violet’s guardian ASAP.

At the gallery, Ava Jerome (Maura West) urged Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) not to look into who might’ve tampered with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) results since GH could stall the case with their own attorneys.

Ric realized Ava must be protecting someone before he took off.

Afterward, Ava paid a visit to Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office and called her out on the results tampering that Ric knew about.

Portia tried to deny it at first, but Ava was convinced it was Portia and didn’t blame her for trying to protect Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Ava made it clear that she’d do anything to protect her own daughter and finally got Portia to admit she was responsible.

Since Trina would blame herself if her mother’s career tanked, Ava insisted she would help her.

With that in mind, Ava wanted Portia to leave this alone and avoid drawing attention to herself.

Portia was concerned about Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) working in the lab now – not to mention Ric could poke around for Heather’s sake.

Ava felt she could handle Ric and eventually got a phone call about him working to get the case overturned. As for Ava’s mystery friend, Ric insisted that person could remain a mystery.

Once Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) paid a visit to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, they embraced.

Sonny thought Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) would be proud of Lucky for coming back, but Lucky felt like his dad would’ve been disappointed that he ever left.

After Sonny gave Lucky a pep talk about fathers and sons, Lucky spent some time catching up with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) at the hospital.

Next, Trina tried to reschedule Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) violin gig at the gallery, but he was no longer interested since Ava pushed Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) out a window.

Trina stomped off and began trying to book another violinist over the phone. Once Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) arrived and realized there was tension, she forced Gio and Trina to make up.

In the end, Gio agreed to play the gig for Trina’s sake and wait for the court to decide whether Ava was guilty.

At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) place, she welcomed Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) home. Lucas talked about leaving Boston and accepting a position at GH since he was looking to start fresh in Port Charles again.

It was hard being around Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) after the baby swap was revealed, but Lucas was ready to be an uncle now.

Since Josslyn gave him news on Carly and Sonny’s possible involvement, Lucas fished for updates.

However, Lucas ultimately decided he’d be back for more info later and wound up tracking Brad down at the hospital lab. Brad was pleased to see Lucas, but his joy quickly turned to disappointment.

That’s because Lucas was only there to clear things up regarding his return to GH.

Lucas would only interact with Brad about work and wanted nothing to do with him otherwise.

Although Lucas didn’t hate Brad, he was still focused on moving forward instead of dwelling on the past.

Once Carly arrived at Pozzulo’s, she talked to him about Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and how necessary it was to get her off the hook.

Sonny felt the key was finding the gun that Alexis disposed of to prove it wasn’t the one that killed John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

Carly wondered what would happen if the weapon wasn’t found, so Sonny vowed to turn himself in if it came down to it.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny could be forced into a confession if Alexis’ situation remains dire, so we’ll bring you more predictions on all the drama.
