The Young and the Restless Monday, October 7 Update: Heather’s Alive Fake-Out, Sharon’s Text Creates Confusion

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, October 7, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will gloat to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about his victory, but she won’t be ready to accept that she’s lost yet.

Afterward, Audra will complain to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) about her firing and give her a little push back toward Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

After Audra argues that the meek don’t really inherit the earth, she’ll suggest they have to go after what belongs to them.

Once Kyle toots his own horn for ousting Audra, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will question him about his romantic past with her – though she’ll clarify that she’s not jealous.

Kyle will insist it was a fling that’s been over for a long time now and will act like he simply did what was necessary at Glissade.

Even so, Claire will reflect on Jordan (Colleen Zenk) celebrating when she trampled on others and will act like it’s a red flag for Kyle to do the same.

Kyle will do his best to convince Claire that it was a justified one-time thing and that he’s not going to make it a habit.

In her car, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will try unsuccessfully to summon “Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby), so she’ll decide she’ll have to figure the next steps out on her own.

After Sharon texts Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) from Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) phone, he’ll be led to believe someone found it and wants to give it back.

Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will initially get excited thinking there’s been some mistake and that an alive Heather is texting Daniel.

Sadly, Daniel will give Lucy news on the phone finder and comfort her over the reality that Heather’s gone.

Sharon will set up a meeting so that Daniel and Lucy can retrieve the phone at the athletic club, but it’ll just be a ruse to get them out of the apartment.

Once Lucy and Daniel drive off, Sharon will slip up the stairwell and into the penthouse once more.

Sharon will plant the blood-stained towel along with Heather’s phone before sliding the cabinet door closed on the evidence.

At the GCAC, Daniel and Lucy will bump into Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who’ll be fully reinstated at the GCPD and taking charge when it comes to Heather’s investigation.

While Lucy’s upstairs looking for Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), Daniel will speak with Chance about the phone situation.

Chance will start to suspect the person who found it isn’t coming and will suggest offering a reward as an incentive.

However, Chance will eventually ask Daniel about whether the phone was protected by a passcode. Daniel will assure Chance that it was, so the detective will have questions about how this person got into the phone.

After Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) warns Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Summer not to be pushy about memorial help, the mother-daughter duo will head to the GCAC.

Once Phyllis and Summer walk over to the bar, they’ll find Daniel with Chance and learn the police might have a lead to pursue.

Back with Sharon, she’ll come home and settle Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) down after her freak-out.

The fact that Sharon was out so late will leave Faith uneasy – especially considering what just happened to Heather.

Sharon will be sorry she scared Faith and will seem anxious when her daughter mentions reaching out to Lucy. Since the loss is so fresh, Sharon will suggest it’d be better to hold off on that.

After Faith heads upstairs, “Cameron” will finally reappear and sing Sharon’s praises for planting the proof at Daniel’s penthouse.

All that’ll be left to do is tip off the police – though Sharon will have to do it without making them suspicious of her.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say “Cameron” will make a prediction about Daniel getting arrested, so stay tuned for updates on whether that’ll really pan out.
