It’s been a few months since we last saw Valentin and Charlotte on General Hospital. Thanks to Anna’s warning, the duo ran off into the sunset to avoid taking the fall for the Pikeman mess. (Thanks, Brennan!) But while we were sad to see them go, we were also reasonably sure they’d be back sooner or later. And as the list of potential donors for a new liver for Lulu kept shrinking, we started to seriously wonder if the duo would have to make a return for Charlotte to save her bio mom’s life.
That, though, didn’t happen, as Sam is apparently a match for Lulu instead! (Side note: Why do we have a sinking feeling this is the news we’ve been dreading?) And now it sounds like James Patrick Stuart is having the time of his life taking a break from General Hospital. The actor was, for a time, pulling double duty on the ABC soap and Disney Channel’s Villains of Valley View, though he’s had a bit of a break recently.
Stuart shared an updated profile pic on Twitter/X, which got a lot of attention from fans and co-stars! And that’s when we learned where Valentin’s portrayer has been since exiting General Hospital. Because it didn’t take long for Maurice Benard (Sonny) to chime in, asking, “What’s up my brother? You look great as always.”
Stuart’s response? Oh, just “Chillin’ in the Pacific Northwest. After doing two shows simultaneously for three years, I’ve had four months off, in an absolutely beautiful part of the country, and I’ve loved every minute of it.”
We all love a break here and there, so trust us, we get it. But where in the Northwest? Well, Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) answered that question when he told Stuart he “looked like Oregon!”
“Loving it here, Jon,” Stuart replied.
As for when we might be seeing Valentin again, that’s anyone’s guess. We just learned last week that Villains was canceled after its second season, so if Stuart were to return to General Hospital, he’d have a bit more time to devote to the show.
The fans certainly chimed in on how much they were missing him in the replies, but for right now, it sounds like he’s having the time of his life up north. And with fall in full swing and the leaves changing colors, we can’t blame him! Heck Stuart himself even mentioned the changing leaves when a fan asked, and mentioned he’d be visiting a friend’s apple orchard soon, “Beautiful time of year for it.”
Still, Valentin can’t disappear forever. Sooner or later, he’s got to turn up again! Though when he does, Anna might not want to mention that little kiss she and Jason shared…
