Days of Our Lives’ Emily O’Brien Gets a Surprising Reaction as She Debuts Her Eye-Popping New Look

It’s been a little while since Emily O’Brien graced our screens on Days of Our Lives. Theresa, as we know, was shipped off to prison over the summer for her role in Konstantin’s schemes and Gwen… Well, we just hope she’s getting her just deserts over in Europe and taking Dimitri for every bit of inheritance that she can. The last we heard of her, she still wanted nothing to do with Leo, so sadly, it doesn’t look likely that she’ll be returning any time soon.

With that said, if she does, we can guarantee she’ll be looking amazing! The actress took to Instagram to debut her new look and her new Italian bob haircut after a little “snip snip.”

And it’s no wonder the reactions from her castmates varied from Greg Rikaart’s “Gorg” to Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), writing, “I love it!!! Stunning!” And Paul Telfer (Xander), Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) and Martha Madison (Belle) all weighed in with a string of emotions that we’re pretty sure means they strongly agree! Of course, the actress’ costars weren’t the only ones chiming in to let her know how amazing the new ‘do looked. But the fans didn’t stop there, with a number of them letting her know how much she’s needed back in Salem!

Yes, Theresa and Gwen made a lot of enemies while in Salem, but O’Brien’s got more than her share of fans wanting her to make a Days of Our Lives. A little while back, O’Brien admitted to Soaps.com that even she was surprised by the fan following. “I haven’t had that many fans,” she admitted at the time. :In fact, I didn’t even know I had fans until I started playing Teresa and I thought, ‘Where have all these Gwen lovers been?’ I thought so many people just disliked me and the character.”

Well, to paraphrase the great Sally Fields, they like you! They really like you! Or, as fan Yvette Rosa put in the comments: “We desperately need you back on Days of Our Lives. Please come back!”

Xander and Sarah are set and stronger than ever — especially now that Fiona’s been exposed — but we’re pretty sure Gwen could find plenty to keep her occupied in town. There’s still time to forgive Leo. And maybe pull him out of the Body and Soul world while she’s at it…
