Days of Our Lives Wednesday, October 16 Recap: Felicity’s ‘Abigail’ Confession, Johnny’s Spy Work and Chanel’s Secret Plan

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 16, reveals that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) woke up on the sofa after another dream about Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) hooking up with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).

Meanwhile, Chanel texted Alex about needing to talk to him regarding something private, but she covered with Johnny when he appeared.

Once Chanel acted like she was texting Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia) about the bakery, she mentioned that Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) delayed her scenes until tomorrow so her back could fully heal.

Chanel sought reassurance that Johnny was truly OK with the love scene before claiming she was headed off to Sweet Bits.

In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) complained to Clyde Weston (James Read) about having to be his hitman, but he knew what he had to do regarding Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).

When Felicity appeared later, Mark admitted he needed to tell her something. Felicity wondered if this was about “Abigail DiMera” (AnnaLynne McCord) and left Mark confused.

After Johnny popped up looking for Chanel, Felicity confirmed that she hadn’t seen her or texted with her today. That left Johnny suspicious as he headed off to find his wife.

At Alex’s apartment on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) woke up in bed with him and became nervous as she scrambled to pick up her clothes.

Alex acted like these things happen, but Stephanie suggested this was a mistake they needed to forget. Chanel was amused when she arrived at the door to find Alex in his robe with Stephanie on her way out, but she knew it was none of her business.

The real reason Chanel wanted to talk to Alex was to get his help planning a surprise party for Johnny’s birthday next week. Chanel wanted to hold it on set and hopefully convince Johnny to move past any lingering jealousy issues.

Alex assured Chanel that he’d pitch in, so he remained in his robe as he stood at the door with her. Chanel got Alex to confirm he’d keep this quiet, so she mentioned that her husband was clueless.

It was eventually revealed that Johnny had been spying out of sight, so he fumed over yet another misunderstanding.

At the Body & Soul office, Stephanie showed Johnny a new poster of Chanel and Alex as their characters. Johnny pretended to like it, but he secretly crumpled one up in a fit of rage.

Back with Felicity, she told Mark that “Abigail” reminded her of their mother. Mark said he could see why since “Abby” had some of the same mannerisms.

Once Mark talked about his imminent trip overseas, he hugged Felicity and made it clear that he’d do anything for her.

At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days episode, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) gave Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) updates on the bogus DNA samples he gave Mark, who confirmed Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) was a match for “Abigail.”

Since Steve actually handed over his own sample along with one for Kayla, he joked about Mark proving Kayla was his mommy. Kayla reeled over Mark’s deception and wanted to believe there was some other explanation.

However, Kayla ultimately reran “Abigail” and Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) DNA test, which confirmed they weren’t a match and that Mark had tampered with the results. Steve couldn’t get Chad to pick up the phone, so Kayla tried texting him with the Abigail imposter news.

In Paris on Wednesday’s Days episode, “Abigail” got emotional over Chad and the real Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) old wedding photo. Chad brought “Abigail” a bouquet for her big day and questioned why she was crying.

“Abigail” eventually blurted out that she wasn’t her – meaning the woman in the picture. Chad was baffled, but “Abby” insisted she didn’t look like her or have the same memories anymore.

Since Chad just cared about the love between them, “Abigail” assured him that she still wanted to get married.

In a moment alone, “Abigail” talked to Mark over the phone and admitted she had real feelings for Chad, which obviously added to her guilt.

Mark basically told “Abigail” to keep her eye on the prize since they had to keep their mom alive and ensure her freedom. As for Mark’s fatal Chad mission, he kept that to himself.
