Since the beginning of 7 Little Johnstons Season 14, TLC teased Liz Johnston’s pregnancy storyline, including the young mother being rushed to the hospital to welcome her baby girl. With the way TLC operates, many viewers suspected that the network would end the season on a cliffhanger without introducing Leighton officially.
Luckily for fans, TLC decided to officially introduce baby Leighton Bolden in recent Season 14 scenes. With how much focus the network put on making Liz Johnston’s pregnancy storyline the main storyline of the season, it was a huge payoff getting to see baby Leighton in the end, and viewers loved how it all went down.

Of course, the arrival of baby Leighton Bolden was a big moment in 7 Little Johnstons Season 14 scenes. Leighton made Liz Johnston and Brice Bolden parents for the first time. She also made Anna Johnston, Emma Johnston, Alex Johnston, and Jonah Johnston aunts and uncles. If that were not enough, she even made Trent Johnston and Amber Johnston first-time grandparents.
With all of the excitement over baby Leighton, 7 Little Johnstons fans recently dragged Trent Johnston for putting his granddaughter at risk. It turns out, he kissed his granddaughter while he had what appeared to be a cold sore, which is something you absolutely should not do. Not surprisingly, viewers let him have it.
7 Little Johnstons: Trent Johnston Put Baby Leighton In Danger
Kissing newborns is, by itself, a risky endeavor. This is even worse when you have a cold sore of any kind when you do this. Doing this exposes the newborn baby to the risk of infection, especially as they have not yet built up all of the proper immunities.
While kissing a newborn baby may seem harmless to the average person, there are some very real consequences that can arise. HSV infection in newborns often requires hospitalization, and may even be fatal. So, even if Trent may have been expressing affection, there could have been some major consequences for baby Leighton as a result.
