At Chancellor-Winters, Devon and Nate talk about what’s next for the upcoming board vote. Devon says the message is simple and strong. Things will return to how they were before the merger. His cousin wonders if they should hold off on discussing more plans until Lily gets there. Since he hasn’t spoken to her for awhile, Devon’s not sure where they stand with her now. When she walks in, her brother bluntly asks if she’s ready to tell Billy she won’t be joining him at Chancellor. Lily asks her cousin to give them a second to chat.

Nate and Devon talk Lily choice Y&R

Once Nate has exited, Lily tells her brother she needs time to think about this before jumping ship. Devon admits he’s finding it difficult to trust she is being honest with him given that she kept Jill’s illness from him. Everything feels uncertain and the last time they spoke, things got heated. She admits that everything seems off since Jill voted against the de-merger. He assumes that Billy wants Lily out so he can run things on his own. If she stays with him, all she’ll do is keep him in line because the guy is a loose cannon. Lily tells him that Billy figured out what they were up to and called her out. She denied they were plotting against him and she thinks he bought it. Devon says Billy can’t stop their plan now. The only person who can is her. His sister explains that none of this is easy for her. She feels guilty because of Jill, who took a huge chance on her because she saw her as a leader. Devon suspects she can’t let go of all she’s created in the company. Lily admits that’s part of it. Her brother points out Billy won’t give her the control Jill did. She points out that her brother won’t either. He claims this is their chance to build something as a team and she reminds him that they’ve had issues before. Devon is sure that Neil would want them to work together. That must be better than working with her power-hungry ex. She asks what it would mean for them if she went to work with Billy. He doesn’t know. Lily says he doesn’t need her. He’s feeling disappointed that she’s not doing what she promised. His sister needs to do what’s right for her and she’s not sure they will work well together. She needs some time and walks out.

When he snaps out it, she tells him he can tell her whatever is on his mind. He claims he’s just thinking of the “intensity” of what happened in Baltimore. Before he can say more, Chelsea and Billy wander in. Sally asks them to join them for lunch.

That helped!” Adam blurts out. Frazzled Chelsea tries to downplay that. Suddenly, she gets a call from the clinic. As she steps away to answer it, Billy and Sally both get the sense that something is off with Adam. Chelsea gets off the line and announces that Connor had a breakthrough and is no longer an in-patient. This is big. The doctors think he’s turning a corner. “That’s our boy!” Adam exclaims as they throw their arms around each other. Sally and Billy force smiles at them. They get texts from Connor, wanting to videochat. Their partners urge them to go and do it.

When Adam and Chelsea get to his place, they can’t believe how awkward that lunch was. She asks why he would admit they got drunk. He assumed the more honest they could be the better. She’s not sure she can lie but he doesn’t see what good coming clean would do for anyone. They need to focus on their son right now.

Adam and Chelsea prepare to call Connor Y&R

Sitting down, they open up the video call. Connor says he’s good now. In-patient was scary and the OCD was really bad. Eventually, he realized he could fight back and took control, pushing the OCD voice away. It got weaker along with the urge to hurt himself. Everything he learned snapped into place. He explains it was easy to give the OCD the power but he realized he had to fight for himself like they always have for him. For the first time, it feels like he could get better. His parents hold hands and tell him how proud they are of him.
