Is Bold & Beautiful’s Poppy After Bill’s Money? Romy Park Reveals What Her Alter Ego *Really* Wants!

There’s clearly no love lost between Bold & Beautiful‘s Li and her sister, Poppy. But recent developments have left us thinking there’s more to their story… and Poppy’s portrayer, Romy Park, seems to feel the same way.

“She loves Bill,” Park told Soap Opera Digest in no uncertain terms. “He is everything that she has ever looked for in a man.” Including, one has to wonder, a big, fat bank account? “I know a lot of people say, ‘Oh, Poppy’s just with him for money,’ because Li keeps on saying that.”

But is there any truth to the accusation? “She’s a single mother who struggled and raised her daughter on her own,” points out the actress. “At what point were they ever living in the lap of luxury [to justify calling her] a gold digger? She sold T-shirts and clothes at festivals and talked about working at farmers markets!”

Then again, this is Bold & Beautiful, where history is often ignored in favor of a compelling storyline. Now that Katie is digging into Poppy’s past, might she uncover a few unsavory facts which will have the audience eyeing Luna’s mom through newly-suspicious eyes? Could she have left a trail of dead, wealthy men in her newly-rewritten wake?

Already, more than a few viewers are accusing Poppy of murder… even if they can’t quite figure out her motive.

Perhaps not surprisingly, many viewers are worried that Katie might wind up the next victim. Why? They point out that Tom was killed after confronting Poppy, while Hollis met his maker after finding Tom’s love letters. Therefore, Katie donning a detective cap and poking around in Poppy’s past could be a recipe for disaster!

Steffy would love nothing more than to find proof of Sheila’s guilt, but it’s beginning to look as if this is the one (and possibly only) time that her mother-in-law might be… well, we hesitate to use the word “innocent,” but at least not guilty of these particular crimes?
