Carly visits Sonny at his place and brings Donna. Donna’s missed her dad, and he has missed her. He thanks Carly for doing this. She smiles and says it was her pleasure. She asks how he’s feeling, and Sonny says he’s solid now that his medication is straight. Now, though, he can see what everyone else saw: the paranoia and anger that consumed him.

Carly and Sonny talk GH

Sonny asks what is happening with Lulu, and Carly fills him in, including that she’s not a match for Lulu. She’s shocked Dante hasn’t reached out to him about it. He admits they haven’t been talking, and Carly can tell that’s bothering him. Sonny knows he hasn’t been great to his children, but he’ll do whatever he can to fix it. Carly brings up Ava calling Avery and saying she would be away for a while and asks what that is about. He tells her that Jagger took her into protective custody, and it’s part of his agenda to take him down.

Kristina is brought into the station in cuffs by Cates, and she demands to know what she’s doing here. Cates is adding an additional charge to her list, the manslaughter of Irene Davis-Ashford. She’s taken into the interrogation room, and Alexis shows up.

KRistina in cuffs GH

Alexis orders Kristina not to say a word and demands to know why Cates has brought her daughter in. He says he’s charging her with the manslaughter of her unborn child. Alexis tells him to cut the crap. This has nothing to do with Kristina and everything to do with Sonny. She says this charge is absurd and manslaughter is not a federal crime. Cates explains any crime that can be added to an existing federal crime can be tried in federal court. Alexis argues that he is out of his jurisdiction, out of his mind, and abusing her client. Cates says they both know a way to make this disappear. Alexis orders Kristina to say nothing while she steps out.

Alexis argues with Cates GH

In the squad room, Alexis asks a sergeant to make sure Cadet Heller stays with her daughter, and that Cates does not speak to Kristina.

An irate Alexis arrives at Sonny’s and tells him that Cates has arrested Kristina and charged her with manslaughter of the baby. She fears Kristina can’t take much more and needs him to do something he won’t like. She says Cates will destroy Kristina to get to him, so he has to give Cates what he wants.

Sonny and Alexis talk Kristina GH

Sonny argues that Jagger won’t let go of Kristina until he’s in prison, but if he’s in prison, then he can’t do anything to help. Alexis says Kristina’s spirit is broken, and if they can’t get this case dismissed, the hearing will cause irreparable damage to her. She says if Sonny doesn’t save her, they’ll lose her. Sonny has faith that she and Diane will get Kristina out of this. Alexis isn’t so sure. She yells, “Kristina needs to be saved, and I’m asking you to save her!”

Alexis pleades with SOnny GH

Back at the station, Dex is left alone with Kristina, and she lets him know she didn’t kill his baby. She just wants one person to believe her. Cates returns and orders Dex out. Dex says he’s under orders to stay, so Cates pulls his FBI rank and orders him out.

Cates tells Kristina he is sorry she must go through this, and her father is the one keeping her here. He says her baby is gone because of Sonny, that he made her think protecting him was more important than her child. She cries at him to stop and to leave her alone. She begins to sob, and he says if she knows anything about Sonny’s crimes, it could help mitigate the charges against her. He’s offering her a chance to help herself.

Cates is smug with Kristina GH

Kristina’s tone suddenly changes. She says he’s trying to accuse her of killing her baby and trying to bring charges against her father. Kristina tells Cates, “The only criminal I see here is you.” She calls Jagger a punk, someone obsessed with taking down her father, and he’s using her and her dead daughter against her father. She tells him, “You will not use me against my father, you son of a bitch!” Cates fumes.

Kristina gives Jagger hell GH

Kristina says his day is coming, and his badge won’t protect him from what’s headed his way. He says she really is her father’s daughter. Alexis returns, and she tells her mom to get her arraigned and get her in front of a judge. She is going to swear on a stack of bibles that Cates used her daughter’s death to try and force her to incriminate her father. Jagger’s phone rings, and Alexis suggests he answer it. Cates steps out, and Alexis notes her daughter is in a better mood. Kristina says there is no way in hell that bastard will break her. She refuses to let him use her baby’s death to manipulate her.

In the station room, Jagger talks to Sonny on the phone. Sonny offers to admit to everything he’s done as long as he drops the charges against his daughter. He says he’ll say his goodbyes to his sons at the Quartermaines and then come to the station and turn himself in. Cates offers to save him the trouble and says he’ll meet him at the Quartermaines and arrest him there.

Olivia reminds him that he had no idea he’d be gone with the WSB for so long, and he had to leave her when he got home to protect her from his PTSD. He hates that he may never be able to tell her how much he regrets his actions.

Olivia asks if he regrets his life with Sam. He doesn’t but fears Lulu may not get to build a life of her own with someone. Olivia says they can’t count her out yet, and he agrees.

Later, Carly arrives and is surprised Dante is here and not with Lulu. He snaps that she’s not alone, and others are with her now. Carly hears that Laura went looking for Lucky. Olivia assumes Carly is staying for dinner. Carly is, Monica asked her to, probably to annoy Tracy. Olivia excuses herself, and Carly tells Dante that she spoke with Sonny, and he’s going to get tested for Lulu. She also heard from Liz about the medication possibly causing the liver failure.

Carly shocked by Dante GH

Dante thinks she’s accusing him of something, and despite what people think, he didn’t abandon Lulu. He accuses her of sounding like Tracy and not to act like she cares about him and Lulu. He throws her paying Brook Lynn to break them up in her face. Carly can’t believe he’s bringing that up, as she thought they got through that years ago. He snaps that it takes a special kind of person to sledgehammer someone else’s life, and she has no idea what that did to Brook Lynn. Brook Lynn happens to be listening in.
