Bold and the Beautiful is more than confusing these days, with Steffy Forrester and Hope Logan leading the pack for the CBS soap’s dead ends. Then they bring back well-known characters for a quick walk-on-role. Then they disappear.
Plus, storylines drift away without any conclusion. The recent excitement with Steffy in a cage played out, but it missed the mark for over-the-top drama fans expected. Still, it took viewers’ minds off the unanswered questions about where B&B is headed with some undone plots. But now she is safe, and viewers say plots still seem to go nowhere.
Bold and the Beautiful #5 False Start: Steffy Forrester’s Father-in-Law
Steffy Forrester‘s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) father-in-law, Jack Finnegan (Ted King) showed up on the night Tom Starr (Clint Howard) toppled over and died. So, it appeared Bold and the Beautiful was about to weave him into the story. But, no… that was it, and he was gone.
Some Bold and the Beautiful viewers think Jack will become Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) lawyer. They also believe the soap will reveal him as her father. But as of today, that quick appearance for Jack brought nothing to the story plot.
B&B #4 False Start: Man with Sinister Grin
The same holds for another sinister Bold and Beautiful character, Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears). He showed up the night the rocker made his comeback and died.
Then he too disappeared. But, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has taken a few phone calls from him. And so far, those calls don’t amount to much.
Bold and the Beautiful #3 False Start: Thomas’ Promises
Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) lost Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) to another woman. He’s now engaged. So, last that The Bold and the Beautiful fans heard, they planned to marry at the Forrester Estate.
But his sudden departure back to France seemed to snuff out any grand wedding plans rolling out soon. While Steffy and her mom fill fans in once in a while about Thomas living his best life these days, we still don’t see him.
And any drama around Hope Logan and Thomas Forrester seems to fall to the wayside.
B&B #2 False Start: Hope Logan’s Cup Runneth Over
Hope Logan set her sights on two men, Thomas, and Finn. Thomas is now taken and John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is married to Steffy. The soap seems to keep her on the edge, as her seductive ways no longer seem to be working on the opposite sex.
Bold and the Beautiful peeled away her angelic persona. Then they painted her with a scarlet letter and let her go on the surrounding males. But the soap continues to script Hope as a hot-to-trot woman, who is consistently turned down.
So, B&B fans thought they’d see a mini-me of Hope Logan’s mother, but they don’t. Instead, fans find this storyline icky and going nowhere.
Bold and the Beautiful #1 False Start: Steffy Ping-Pongs Finn
Finn is like the husband who comes home with beautiful flowers for his wife. But instead of the wife offering a kiss of gratitude, she sneezes, wheezes, and throws them in the garbage.
Finn read his birth mother the Riot Act. He spelled it out for her that he could never be part of her life. Instead of Steffy Forrester being thankful, she blames him for seeing Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), despite the message he passed along.
Then came the kiss from Hope Logan. Instead of Steffy hearing Finn, how he pushed Hope away and reprimanded her, Steffy saw it differently. She blamed Finn for being around Hope when she told him not to.
So, this poor guy can’t win. Every time it looks like Steffy Forrester and Finn are about to get back on the right path with their marriage, she seems to sabotage it with a different way of thinking.
Today, fans can only cross their fingers that Finn coming to get Steffy Forrester out of that cage will bring them back together without Steffy Forrester twisting this. And then they can only hope that they remain solid as a couple. But this is Bold and the Beautiful so you never know, especially lately, where the CBS soap will take any of their storylines.
