The Bold and the Beautiful Monday, July 1 Recap: Tom Collapses After Gloved Hands Taint Drink Backstage

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, July 1, reveals that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) told Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that he didn’t want her being so rough on Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).

If Steffy gave Hope some time, Thomas thought that Hope would realize his engagement to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) was the best thing for everyone.

Since Thomas hated it when Steffy and Hope fought, he asked them to stop arguing and took off to pick up Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) elsewhere.

Of course, Hope and Steffy kept clashing anyway since Hope refused to allow Steffy to mess with her life any longer.

Steffy insisted Hope needed to let Thomas go, but Hope hinted that maybe she didn’t want to.

However, Steffy acted like Hope missed her chance and should find somebody else who was single.

Thomas had an exciting future ahead – and it didn’t include Hope according to Steffy.

In the design office, Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) told RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) wanted to legally adopt her, so RJ was happy for her.

Nevertheless, RJ was confused over why Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) waited so long to reveal that Bill was Luna’s father.

Luna acted like it wasn’t that surprising to her since Poppy could be a bit mysterious sometimes.

At Il Giardino, Jack Finnegan (Ted King) was surprised to see Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) there since he didn’t remember her being into live music.

Li suggested she just came for some takeout after her shift at the hospital and didn’t know all this was going on.

Jack convinced Li to join him for a drink, so they shared an awkward toast. Li was acting rather suspicious, so Jack wondered if she was looking for someone.

Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) also had a brief encounter with Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) before the topic of tonight’s live music came up.

Justin ominously declared that he wouldn’t miss it for the world!

At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) apartment, Poppy tried to convince Tom Starr (Clint Howard) that Bill was Luna’s dad and said a paternity test proved it.

Tom argued that was bull and felt it was time for Luna to know the truth.

Although Tom said they spent a lot of nights together, Poppy insisted that particular evening Tom was passed out on the tour bus.

Poppy also brought up the fact that her sister the doctor administered the DNA test, which proved without a shadow of a doubt that Luna was Bill’s daughter.

Tom complained since he tried reaching out to Poppy after their time together, but she shut him down.

Poppy said it was because of Tom’s partying lifestyle since she didn’t want Luna around any of that.

Tom kept harassing Poppy and sending her letters that always got returned, but Poppy said that was because they didn’t mean anything to her.

Tom was just a fling from Poppy’s past as far as she was concerned.

Although Tom had a show to do, he told Poppy that he was going to track Luna down afterward and tell her that “her dad ain’t Bill.”

Tom suggested Poppy could come clean or not, but Luna was going to know the truth either way.

Tom reiterated that it was showtime and said he had to hit the can, so Poppy looked unsettled once she was alone.

Back at the restaurant, Tom was a little nervous before his show and insisted on finding his “ice blue” sports drink backstage.

Meanwhile, someone wearing black gloves slipped a white powder into that drink.

Tom spoke with Deacon, Sheila and Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) before briefly encountering Jack, Justin and Li.

After stepping backstage and drinking some of the tainted drink, Tom made his way on stage and played for the crowd.

Tom guzzled more of his drink in between songs and finally collapsed when the show was over, so Deacon, Hollis and Sheila rushed to help him.

Moments later, Hollis called 911 and said they wanted to know if Tom was still breathing. Sheila started doing chest compressions since she wasn’t getting a pulse.
