Could any Bold & Beautiful viewer blame Steffy for wanting to get the heck out of Dodge in the wake of “kissgate”? If we were her, we’d want to run away and leave it all behind, too. But ironically, in doing so, Steffy is potentially making a bad situation worse.
So what if Stephanie’s namesake banned Finn from spending time with kissing bandit Hope. Big deal. If Steffy’s away, who knows what kind of games Hope might decide to play, especially if the theory that she has a split personality is borne out? By the time Steffy returns, Finn could be harboring a far more damning secret than one stolen kiss
Plus, Steffy runs the risk of Finn using her absence to hang with momster Sheila and potentially become even closer to the woman who’s shot most of her family. And we can’t imagine that Steffy will sleep well after witnessing Bill’s lip-lock with former daughter Luna. If nothing else, Steffy would probably want to warn R.J. that something’s rotten in the state of Denmark.
Maybe all the talk of Steffy taking off is just that — talk — and when push comes to shove, she’ll stay right where she is, if for no other reason than to ensure that her life doesn’t go even further off the rails. As much as, like her, we might want to stick our head in the sand, it’s probably smarter for her to keep her eyes open.
