Abigail and Clyde: What We Didn’t Know
Days of Our Lives fans can agree that Mark initially seemed like a nice guy. Plus, Abigail’s fake persona showed signs of genuine guilt. So, what’s the reason behind the act? Well, the recent episode gave us a clue- it’s because of Clyde Weston. After a heartfelt scene between Abigail and Chad, the episode concluded with her receiving a text.
It read, “Why haven’t you gotten Chad back down the aisle? You know what’s going to happen if you don’t.” Consequently, it clarifies that the Greenes are stuck with Clyde, and it might not be voluntary. In a recent interview, AnnaLynne shed some light on her character’s approach to Chad. She explained, “I put a lot of the synergy onto the way she engages with Chad.”
Additionally, the DOOL actress thinks Abigail is a bit more appealing because she is obeying Clyde Weston’s wishes. According to Anna, her character “is under extenuating circumstances.” Clyde is manipulating Abigail, which is why she acts out of character. It’s lucky for her that pretending to be an amnesiac allows her to act differently from Chad’s memories.
McCord also revealed that her character downplays her true self even more to keep Clyde happy and speed things up. Furthermore, Abigail’s ultimate goal seems to be walking down the aisle again with Chad. However, this whole situation is clearly fraught with rising tension. AnnaLynne didn’t spill the beans, maybe wanting to increase our excitement!
