Days of Our Lives: Finn Bids Adieu To GH, Is Tanner Scofield Ready For A DOOL Comeback?
Big News for Days of Our Lives fans! There has been word on the street, that General Hospital’s loss of Michael Easton could lead to a good news for the Days of Our Lives fans. We know that Michael Easton has announced his exit from the ABC show, while it is still very difficult to believe, it is confirm.
On the ABC soap, there’s no denying that Finn had been going through some tough times. However, no one saw his exit coming (JK we did, and told you about it too). Nevertheless, it was still very difficult when it happened. Now, he has said goodbye to his daughter Violet and left for rehab recently. While this is devastating news for GH fans, it might be great news for fans of DOOL! Find out why!
Goodbye Dr. Finn, Hello Tanner Scofield?
Long time Michael Easton fans would remember, he kick started his acting career with a two-year stint as Tanner Scofield on Days of Our Lives. Later, he played roles like McBain on One Life to Live, Caleb/Stephen on Port Charles, and Silas/Finn on GH.
But, now that he has departed from GH, it might be the perfect time to bring Tanner back on Days of Our Lives! Ardent soap fans know this kind of switch isn’t new in the soap world. DOOL Ex-head writer Ron Carlivati was with GH when Easton’s Stephen/Caleb returned for a vampire storyline. So, it is something that they could do again. Maybe, they would find a longer, and more stable role for Michael Easton.

Moreover, not very long ago, Ron also brought back Steve Burton’s character, Harris, from the ’80s for a year-long run in Salem. Mind you, Harris just departed Salem, and Burton came back to the ABC soap as Jason. So, maybe something like that would work with Michael Easton too.
However, for this to work, DOOL must establish a profound connection between Tanner and the current storyline. Tanner had no relation to any main families from the soap back it the time, but now, that can change. For instance, Tanner’s dad was Vern Scofield who was Jack’s right-hand man at The Spectator, could tie him to the storyline now.
The last time Tanner appeared, he put his mother’s rapist in jail. Then, he left for Chicago with Molly Brinker and her mom, Ginger. We reckon that the possibilities for Tanner’s return are endless. The character, who’s an amateur sleuth, might have followed in his dad’s footsteps and taken up journalism. With Everett missing, The Spectator could use someone like Tanner to get back on track.
Don’t Forget: Double Trouble Coming Up In The Salem
Moreover, if you would remember, Tanner’s dad, Vern has dated Jo, at one point. Many people believed that their romance was just a one-timely thing. However, what if, the romance between Tanner’s dad and Jo was more serious than we thought! What if they were flames years earlier, and Jo had Tanner?
Ultimately, Vern and Nancy might have raised him. That would make Tanner Jack and Steve’s long-lost brother! The possibilities here are endless, truly. Here’s hoping we get word from DOOL on this!
