Days of Our Lives’ Newest Family Has Grown Once Again — But Who Are Their Parents?

And then there were three! First, Days of Our Lives introduced us to Tate’s friend, Aaron Greene, then the newcomer’s little sis (and bakery fave), Felicity. And now, as of Wednesday, June 12, we’ve now met their big brother, Dr. Mark Greene (yes, just Anthony Edwards’ ER character!), after a run-in with Leo and a checkup with Chanel and Johnny.

From a job perspective, it makes sense. Now that Tripp’s gone, Salem University Hospital is down to just Kayla and Sarah for docs. (We know, theoretically there are countless others, but we needed more onscreen characters!) And at first it made sense from a romance perspective, because Mark’s first appearance on our screens was with a very single, very thirsty Leo.

Days' Chanel is in a hospital gown in a hospital exam room, sitting with Johnny as the doctor, Mark, talks to them

But then he gently rebuffed Leo asking for a date and revealed he wasn’t gay, so the big question is: What’s ahead for the good doc? Played by daytime newcomer, Jonah Robinson, it looks like Dr. Mark, along with the rest of the Greenes will be sticking around. Robinson posted a pic of the family (along with an adorable photo of him dancing in the Salem hospital) on Instagram.

“Meet Dr. Mark Greene,” he wrote. “So excited to be joining Days of Our Lives. It’s an honor to be Kennedy Garcia and Louis Tomeo’s big brother. Thank you [casting director] Marnie Saitta, [executive producer] Ken Corday, [headwriter] Ron Carlivati, and a huge shout out to the crew. Y’all are amazing!”

At this point, we think it’s safe to say that Days of Our Lives has introduced us to an entirely new family. And with three kids — two of whom seem to be under 18 — we feel like it can’t be long before we meet their parents. Or at least, parent. When Garcia shared the “family” pic on Instagram, her caption certainly left us wondering. She welcome Mark to the Greene family and wrote, “Maybe it’s complete now!?” with a shrugging emoji.

And a few days ago, Garcia left us wondering about Felicity’s parents with a video about the differences between her and her character. When the question got to “Has parents,” she just shrugged, which lends even more of an air of mystery to the potential senior Greenes!

So who could Mark, Aaron and Felicity’s parents be?

While new families do get introduced into soaps from time to time, there usually ends up being some kind of connection to those already on the canvas. Whether the Greenes are folks we know somehow from the past or are tied to Salem more deeply than we think, though, remains to be seen. With all this talk about the city council and ousting Paulina, maybe we’ll find that they’ve been longtime politicians within Salem.
