Days of Our Lives Thursday, August 22 Recap: Melinda Is Connie’s Captive – EJ Blabs to Homewrecker Abigail
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 22, reveals that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) barged his way in for a meeting with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) and cried over the worst mistake of his life.
Stefan begged Gabi to come home with him so they could work this out, so she agreed and gave him some hope.
Moments later, Gabi insisted she was only coming home to pack and made it clear that she had no intention of getting past Stefan’s betrayal with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Ava gave Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) the news about her blunder with Stefan and how Gabi threatened to pull Gabi Chic if Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) didn’t fire her.
Although Ava was out of a job thanks to Connie Viniski (Julie Dove) blabbing, Ava insisted Connie was a fraud and that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) was about to “fire her ass.”
At Connie’s apartment, she returned from the hardware store with everything she needed to get rid of Melinda’s body, but then she realized Melinda still had a pulse and was breathing.
Connie decided she’d have to finish Melinda off with a hacksaw, but Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) cardboard cutout came to life again and warned her not to.
Once Li convinced Connie that she didn’t have to go this far, Connie tied Melinda up instead.
Melinda was bound to the bed with ropes and woke up startled, but Connie insisted they’d take good care of her as the Li cardboard cutout stood nearby.
At the Horton house on Thursday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) opened up to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) about all the Abigail DiMera (AnnaLynnn McCord) drama and got a pep talk.
At the DiMera mansion, Abigail spoke to someone over the phone and was glad about Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) heading home with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).
Once EJ DiMera (Dan Feueriegel) interrupted on Thursday’s DOOL show, Abigail disconnected and “met” EJ in the living room.
That led to Abigail reeling as EJ worked it into the conversation that she slept with Stefan and with EJ himself.
Abigail assumed she was a homewrecker and grew curious about what happened to deceased Andre DiMera (Thaao Pennghlis), but Chad showed up.
After Abigail headed upstairs, Chad ripped into EJ for telling his already traumatized wife about her complicated history.
Once Abigail gave Chad updates on all the scandalous behavior she’d heard about, Chad acted like the past was water under the bridge and that the good far outweighed the bad.
Although Chad offered up a guest room, Abigail wanted to remain in their old room instead and see if it might jog some memories.
Back downstairs on Thursday’s Days episode, EJ was thrilled over Gabi and Stefan’s fight.
Once EJ learned it was about Stefan sleeping with Ava, he acted like this marriage blowup was karma.
EJ was eager for Gabi to leave the premises and said he’d have the locks changed, but a smug Gabi suddenly decided she wasn’t anywhere after all.
