General Hospital delivers another gripping storyline as Violet Barnes Finn, played by Jophielle Love, finds herself in a precarious situation with her father Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), whose alcoholic tendencies are beginning to spiral. Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), and Chase (Josh Swickard) are all frantic over the situation, but it’s Violet’s mother, Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) who could be the one to step in.
Hayden, currently absent from the city of Port Charles, has a complicated history involving an extramarital affair, a dangerous illness, and a sudden departure due to a threat from Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). This leaves Violet in the hands of her increasingly unstable father, causing concern for her well-being on the ABC soap opera.
Hayden’s abrupt exit from the show was due to Rebecca Budig’s sudden dismissal from her contract with General Hospital. However, with Violet’s situation reaching a critical point, it might be time for Hayden to make a much-needed return.
