General Hospital: Josh Kelly Talks Cody Bell’s Storyline and Reuniting With Cast Members
General Hospital actor Josh Kelly recently shared insights about his latest pursuits and experiences. The star particularly shone a light on his role as Cody Bell on the ABC daytime drama.

Josh Kelly on Returning Co-Stars and His Time on GH
The General Hospital actor admitted, “It is an honor to work in the daytime field in general.” He added, “The show has been around for over 60 years, and it has touched so many lives.” Next, the return of John J. York, who plays Kelly’s on-screen father, Mac Scorpio, is another highlight for Kelly. The GH luminary affectionately refers to York as “MacDaddy.” Furthermore, Josh revealed that he enjoyed participating in a virtual fan event with him last summer.
With York back on the show, Kelly expects to explore the dynamic between Cody and Mac. The unresolved tension surrounding Cody’s secret about Mac being his biological father still persists! Looking ahead, there’s another scene partner that Kelly would like to interact with more. It’s Dominic Zamprogna who plays detective Dante Falconeri. “I would love to explore Dante and Cody’s storyline further. I think it’s fun, and it can go somewhere interesting.”
Dante knows about Cody’s paternity secret and the mounting stress of keeping it. Additionally, the GH actor teased a compelling narrative ahead. He confessed that playing Cody has also taught him a lot, particularly about working with kids. “I’ve been giving Maxie’s son horseback riding lessons. It is fun getting to work with kids.” Meanwhile, Kelly recently participated in fan events in New Jersey, Astoria, and Long Island, New York.
He found the event incredibly enjoyable. “The fan events were great. I’ve always loved meeting fans and daytime fans are the best,” he shared. The journeyed actor also shared a funny anecdote about his girlfriend Chloe Lanier’s surprise appearance at one of these events. According to him, Chloe left his co-stars and the coordinator in shock. “It was pretty funny, they were really shocked when she came out on stage instead of me.”
Then, Josh was asked about his future plans. So, Kelly hopes to do more flicks and continue doing his best work. He lives by this one great motto. “Be honest, don’t quit, do what you believe is right, finish what you start, and take pride in your work.” Finally, the GH star reflected on Johnny Wactor’s tragic loss and praised him as a great guy and actor.
