Sister Wives fans find Kody Brown even more tainted today, as they watched him and Robyn Brown whine over feeling “betrayed” by his family on the TLC series. Plus, Kody referring to his children as “these people” didn’t do much good for him in the eyes of the viewers.
Playing the victim also didn’t fly for the fans. But, things got worse when Robyn pointed a finger of blame in the wrong direction, which infuriated the audience.
So, as Kody stated his case in front of the cameras, fans suggested he stuck his foot in his mouth. Despite trying to dislodge it, and even with the help of Robyn Brown, it didn’t work.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Betrayed?
Kody Brown continues to see himself as “betrayed” by his children. His take on this betrayal stems from him loving Robyn Brown more than the other wives.
He claims his children see him as guilty of this. But his defense is that he can’t help loving her more than the other wives from the now defunct Sister Wives polygamous marriage.
Sister Wives fans think he missed the boat on this big time. The kids feel neglected by Kody, who spends all his time with his youngest wife and her kids. Fans of this show see Kody Brown as living in some fantasy world that he conjured up in his head.
As his youngest wife begs him to reach out to his kids, he pauses. Then he tells her that he did just that. It happened when he went skiing in the sunshine recently. Kody Brown revealed that he texted Gabriel Brown.
But he hasn’t heard back from his son yet. Kody Brown is seen unraveling over the estrangement with his kids one minute, and the next minute he talks about a sunny day of skiing.
Sister Wives fans suggested instead of texting Gabe while there, he could have done more. Maybe an invitation for him to go with his father would have been more in line for mending the relationship.
Robyn Brown Feeds Papa Brown’s Mindset?
Sister Wives fans find it bizarre that Kody thinks this is all about him not loving his kids’ mothers. He feels the kids punish him for this by severing him from their lives. But then Robyn Brown chimes in to say the kids are going by what they’ve been told.
To fans, this sounded as if she validated Kody Brown’s accusations that his ex-wives now poison his kids against him. So, viewers thought that Robyn Brown’s true colors surfaced through her sobbing.
Those teary-eyed scenes between Robyn and Kody were likely meant to show fans how much the fourth wife wants to fix things. But for the viewers, it fell short.
Sister Wives: Kody Tells Robyn About ‘These People’
Sister Wives fans were particularly appalled by Kody Brown’s choice of words during the latest Sunday night episode. He used the term “these people” as if he were talking about a group of strangers trying to infiltrate his relationship with Robyn. These people happen to be his kids and their moms, who for over 30 years were his one big family.
Fans also saw Kody’s art of manipulation in full swing. He went through an array of emotions while trying to get Robyn to back down. He cried, without much luck. Not only that, but he said he’d try “a little bit” when Robyn asked him to at least attempt to reach out to his kids.
Still, it wasn’t until the Sister Wives patriarch hit on something about Robyn that he made headway. He told her he didn’t like what this was doing to their marriage. Then it looked like he made a breakthrough.
Robyn Brown thanked him for saying he wanted time to work on their marriage first. This lit up Kody Brown’s face in a smile. Fans noticed that he looked relieved that he finally found the right thing to say to his now-only wife on this TLC series.
