The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nate & Audra’s Fake Engagement – Scheme to Get Summer Off Kyle’s Back?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is determined to keep Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) away from Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and her negative influence. That’s been a huge theme for Summer throughout this whole custody feud with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

However, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) knows her daughter awfully well and suspects Summer might be a little jealous at the thought of Kyle moving on.

Summer denied that in the August 16 episode, but there might be some truth to Phyllis’ suspicions.

After all, it’s never made sense for Summer to throw hissy fits about Audra when she doesn’t know Harrison or even care that he exists.

Summer’s ultimatum about cutting Audra loose may be more about keeping her out of Kyle’s bed than anything else.

If this custody mess really boils down to Summer’s jealousy over Audra, there might be an easy strategy to fix it.

Perhaps the solution here is for Audra to prove she’s moved on with someone else – someone like Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Nate and Audra aren’t officially dating, but Summer doesn’t know that.

In fact, Summer doesn’t know anything about Audra’s personal life at all, so there’s the potential for a scheme here.

Audra having a new boyfriend probably wouldn’t be enough to convince Summer to let go of her concerns.

Summer might view Nate as another flavor of the month unless she sees a real sign of commitment.

That’s why it’d be interesting if Nate and Audra faked an engagement.

It’d fit with the storyline in a fun, comical way since Audra was previously so against the idea of marriage.

Of course, this could also serve as Nate’s opportunity to win Audra over and maybe convince her to marry him for real down the road.

Audra currently feels like Summer is Kyle’s problem, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may disagree and force Audra to help him.

If Kyle and Audra want to keep their status as Glissade’s co-CEOs, Victor may order them to solve this together.

Nate could get roped into the drama if Kyle pushes him to pretend he’s Audra’s fiancé.

Perhaps in exchange, Audra and Kyle could finally confirm Victor is the secret investor who’s running the show.

Whatever the case, our Y&R predictions hint that Kyle may have to rely on Audra and Nate as allies, so they might dupe Summer into thinking they’re happily engaged!
