The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack Pretends to Fire Diane – Couple’s Phony Marriage Crisis Dupes Kyle?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will be willing to play dirty if it means pulling Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) out of the Newman web he’s tangled up in.
Y&R recently put out a preview video for the week of August 19-23, so let’s talk about a clip of Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) scheming together.
Although Jack seems a bit uneasy about stooping to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) level, Diane is clearly fine with doing whatever it takes to save Kyle.
If that means “a little moral compromise,” then so be it!
It’s obvious that Jack and Diane are going to carry out a shady plan, so what will that look like?
The goal will obviously be to drag Kyle away from Victor and Glissade, but how are Diane and Jack going to make that happen?
Step one might be Jack pretending to fire Diane and making a big spectacle about it.
Perhaps Jack will put on a show about Diane’s incompetence and fake that he’s cutting her loose from Jabot.
Of course, Kyle would be present for this charade, so Diane might turn on the waterworks in the aftermath and try to get her son’s sympathy.
Diane might even pretend her marriage is in trouble and tug at Kyle’s heartstrings.
Maybe Diane could beg Kyle to stay at the house with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) and help her try to patch things up with Jack.
Diane might also push Kyle to come home to Jabot and convince Jack that they can all work as a team.
At this point, Diane seems willing to accept a demotion if it means getting her son back.
It’s been a real wake-up call to have all this friction between them, so Diane might be willing to watch Kyle take her co-CEO spot if it means family unity.
If Kyle returns to Jabot and stays at the Abbott house, then it would likely eliminate the custody feud with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) as well.
Jack doesn’t want to reward Kyle for bad behavior, but Diane might argue that things have gotten out of hand.
If everyone can just cool off and put their talents to good use, Diane may see a path forward where Kyle straightens up and all the family drama is over.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) tried to warn Jack that Kyle needed to face a downfall, but Diane may insist Victor is the only one who should crash and burn!
If they can steal Kyle back from Glissade and turn him against the enemy, then this storyline could head in a very different direction.
