Young & Restless Just Set the Scene for an Epic Catfight — and a Confession That Would End Two Relationships for Good

Young & Restless viewers know a set-up when they see one, whether it involves romance, rivalries… or both. That’s why we snapped to attention when an event was planned that would provide the perfect background for an epic catfight and a relationship-ending confession!

In a recent scene at Genoa City’s Society, Lauren and Summer met with Sally and Chloe to discuss the upcoming launch of Marchetti’s new line. Chelsea started out as the designer and Sally stepped in to finish it when the former had to take time away to focus on Connor’s treatment. Sally convinced Summer to bring Chloe back on as her assistant, and now the line is complete.

The good news? Marchetti’s CEO, Summer, is very impressed with how the fashions turned out. The bad news? Lauren’s insistence on a launch at Fenmore’s with the designers present just might be a recipe for disaster.

Presuming Chelsea is invited to attend given that she played a role in the finished product, we have a scenario unfolding that would put her and Sally in the spotlight at the same time. As any soap opera fan knows, this is the ideal set-up for a public confrontation.

Sure, Sally and Chelsea already had words about the cheating scandal at the park, but there’s a little more to this than Chelsea and Adam making a “mistake,” and Adam admitted as much to Sally when he told her that love was involved when it came to his tryst with his ex-wife.

After Chelsea attempted to talk Sally into reconciling with Adam in the park, Sally stalked off after urging him to “resolve” his issues with Chelsea. This put Adam on the spot, and we’re sure he knew the redhead was referring to his remarks about having feelings for Chelsea, but he opted not to go there. Chelsea, meanwhile was confused and pressed him for answers to no avail.

This is clearly going to come to a head at some point, and when it does, Chelsea’s probably going to realize she’s in denial. Some Young & Restless fans feel that the reason she was pushing Sally so hard to give Adam another chance was because she’s sub-consciously fighting her feelings for her ex-husband. Sally and Adam getting back together would certainly make it easier to quash those pesky emotions and close that door so as to focus on her relationship with Billy.

As Billy made Sally aware, this isn’t the first time Chelsea cheated on him with Adam. These two always seem to gravitate back to one another. Put that together with Adam’s admission that love was involved in what happened in Baltimore… and you’re at the gateway to a “Chadam” reunion.

All we need now is a confession from Chelsea that she, too, has feelings for Adam, and “Chelly” and “Ally” will be done for good… or at least for the foreseeable future.

What better time for a confession than in the public eye at Lauren’s launch party? Both Chelsea and Sally, the designers, will be in attendance, and there’s every chance that Billy, and even Adam, may turn up to show support.

Yes, the scene has been set for Chelsea’s confession, and, if we’re lucky, an epic catfight between the two women. Imagine the two head designers throwing down for a classic Jill and Katherine style clash in the middle of Fenmore’s!

We realize we’re reaching for the stars hoping anything like this would play out onscreen. We currently don’t even have a Fenmore’s set, but here’s hoping we’re allowed to have this one nice thing, which would be a fun throwback to days gone by and drive story moving forward.
